Learning to Love; Loving to Learn - Life in all its Fullness

Respect

Compassion

Service

Hope

Aspiration

Forgiveness

What a hot, hot, hot week it has been! Thank you to all our parents and carers for your continued support in helping us navigate these very warm conditions.

In school, we have been doing everything we can to keep cool, enjoying ice lolly breaks, refreshing foot baths, and plenty of cooling drinks throughout the day.

We have been incredibly proud of how well the children have coped. They have shown fantastic resilience, positivity, and maturity despite the challenging heat.

Reports have been sent home today for children in years 1-6 and we hope to see many of you at Parents Evening next week. Teachers still have slots available, so do make an appointment if you haven't already.

During Parent's Evening our new Afterschool Club (starting in September) will be offering a free drop in session until 5pm so do pop your child in there to see what they think and gain more information!

Thank you again for your support, and we hope everyone is able to enjoy a restful and cooler weekend ahead.

Warm regards,
The School Team

Collective Worship this week...

If we can forgive, how can this help other people?

This week, we explored the story of Joseph and his brothers, focusing on how Joseph tested his brothers and chose to forgive them.

Talk Together
  • Why did Joseph hide the cup—revenge or to see if his brothers had changed?
  • How did Joseph show forgiveness?
  • Why did he choose to forgive?
Reflect
  • Is forgiveness easy? Why or why not?
  • How can forgiving others help families and friendships?
  • Have you ever forgiven someone—or been forgiven? How did it feel?
Try This Week

Encourage small acts of forgiveness at home—show patience, let go of disagreements, and offer kindness.

Forgiveness can bring healing and help everyone move forward.

STARS THIS WEEK

Here are the children who have been shining by showing our church value of FORGIVENESS this week ...

Forgiveness

Love prospers when

fault is forgiven but

dwelling on it separates

close friends

Ash 2: HUBERT

Hubert has really impressed us this week with his ability to stay calm and move forward after small disagreements. He shows strong problem‑solving skills by helping his friends to work things out so everyone can get back to playing and learning together happily.

Rayner: CERYS

Cerys has stayed calm and positive even in the challenging heat this week. She has shown wonderful compassion and forgiveness towards others, setting a brilliant example for everyone. We are very proud of you, Cerys!

Percival: VINNIE

Vinnie is always cool, calm and collected in all situations. He is able to reflect and forgive which makes him a wonderful friend to have. Well done Vinnie, you are a fantastic role model in Percival Class!

Duffy: NATHANIEL

Nathaniel is always ready to listen to other peoples perspective and tries to see the other side. He is able to not only forgive but works hard at trying to understand why.

Farook: SCARLETT

Your gentleness and kindness shines out of you. We are so lucky to have you in our class; we can learn so much from the way that you behave.

Evans: NATANIA

This week my star goes to Natania. Natania is always ready to put any mistakes of her own or others behind her and start afresh when needed. She shows forgiveness and a willingness to move forward with positivity every day.

Shakespeare: NORAH

Norah is just incredible. She always forgives and I love working with her. She gets on well with everyone in the class and we are lucky to have her! She is enjoying having loads of fun at this time of year after working incredibly hard for her SATs in the previous terms.
