Learning to Love; Loving to Learn - Life in all its Fullness

Respect

Compassion

Service

Hope

Aspiration

Forgiveness

Dear Parents and Carers,

Despite it being a short week, it has certainly been a very busy one across the school.

Year 2 had a fantastic trip to RHS Rosemoor, which was a great success. The children loved exploring the gardens and learning more about plants and how they grow. They represented the school beautifully and showed great enthusiasm and curiosity throughout the visit.

We are also incredibly proud of the children’s work in class this week. Many teachers have commented on how impressed they are with the quality of writing across their classes, with pupils showing great effort, creativity, and progress.

Year 6 have worked extremely hard and have done everything they can to prepare for their SATs next week. We would like to encourage them to relax, stay positive, and enjoy the week ahead. We are very proud of them and all they have achieved.

We wish everyone a lovely weekend and look forward to seeing you all back at school next week.

Warm regards,
The School Team

Collective Worship this week...

This week, children have been learning how small actions can help make the world fairer.

Jesus’ Parable of the Mustard Seed (Matthew 13:31–32) reminds us that God uses small acts of love to bring about big change. In the same way, everyday actions like kindness, generosity, and speaking up for others can create ripple effects that reduce poverty and help communities flourish.

Our vision of Learning to Love encourages us to believe that small kindnesses grow into big hope, helping everyone experience life in all its fullness.

Discussion ideas:
  • Why do small actions matter?
  • What little choices can help others?
  • How can we show love and kindness each day?

STARS THIS WEEK

Here are the children who have been shining by showing our church value of ASPIRATION this week ...

Aspiration

In everything he did, he had great

success because the Lord

was with him

Ash 2: MOLLY-MAE

Mollie-Mae has been setting a wonderful example for her friends by consistently showing a 'can do' attitude towards all of her learning. Well done for showing such aspiration, Mollie-Mae.

Rayner: REMI, GRIFFIN and HUDSON

These boys have shown true aspiration in their writing this week. All boys have taken on the challenge of writing independently and have risen to this challenge with great success. Well done and keep it up!

Percival: SWECHHA and HENRYK

Swechha has been incredibly aspirational in her English learning this week, we are very excited to read her final independent piece!

Henryk has shown aspirational behaviours at our recent school trip to Rosemoor, representing our school beautifully!

Well done Swechha and Henryk!

Duffy: SAMAIRA

Samaira has really stretched herself with her writing this week. We have been focusing on prediction and Samaira has made some strong and considered predictions about our new text.

Farook: OLLIE and JESSA

Ollie, your attitude to your multiplication recall is nothing short of impressive. You have persevered and shown amazing aspiration, what a SUPERSTAR!

Jessa, it has been wonderful to see your writing grow. I cannot believe that you're only a Year 3 with the way that you construct your sentences and engage the reader. Well done!

Evans: BEAU

This week we are awarding our star of the week to Beau. While Y6 have been very busy preparing for SATS, the feedback from a wide range of staff is that you have continued to work hard and be committed to making your learning the best it can be. Well done Beau.

Shakespeare: ALL OF YEAR 6

Year 6 - we are so proud of you! An incredibly dedicated group who show us every day that you are committed to making your last year at primary school count as you prepare the next stage of your education.
