Learning to Love; Loving to Learn - Life in all its Fullness

Respect

Compassion

Service

Hope

Aspiration

Forgiveness

Dear Parents and Carers,

It’s been another wonderfully busy week in school, made even brighter by the welcome return of some sunny weather! The children have loved spending more time outdoors, and it’s been lovely to see so many smiles on the playground and even the field!

In anticipation of the sunny weather to come, please make sure names are clearly written in all jumpers and school clothing. This really helps us reunite lost items with their owners quickly and reduced the amount of lost property to search through.

This week, KS2 pupils enjoyed specialised cricket instruction, with many showing great enthusiasm and skill. Our first Year 5/6 cricket club also ran successfully, giving children an extra opportunity to build confidence and teamwork.

Today our Year 6 pupils went to Pilton Community College to take part in the Pilton Dance Festival, representing the school brilliantly. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and fantastic performances.

To end the week on a fun note, the school came together to celebrate Red Nose Day with a non‑uniform day. Thank you to everyone who took part and supported this great cause.

Wishing all our families a restful weekend!

Warm regards,
The School Team

Collective Worship this week...

This week in worship, our big question was: How can something so small have such a big impact?

We explored the story of the feeding of the five thousand, where a young boy shared his small lunch of five loaves and two fish. Jesus used this simple gift to help thousands of people. Children reflected on how even small actions, ideas, and talents can make a big difference—linking to Global Goal 4: Quality Education, which encourages everyone to use their learning to help make the world fairer and kinder.

Pupils discussed how their skills - whether reading, drawing, caring, creating or problem‑solving - can be used to help others in their families, class or wider community. They were also invited to write prayers of hope to add to our Prayer Tree, supported by our Ethos Team.

Family Reflection Questions:

  • What small action could we do this week that might help someone else?
  • What talents or skills do we each have that could make a difference?
  • When has something small—an act of kindness, a word, a choice—made a big impact in our family?
  • How can we use our learning at home to bring hope to others?
