Curriculum

The recently re-vamped curriculum is inventive, lively and includes encouragement for pupils and staff to tackle big questions at every opportunity. They are indeed ‘loving to learn.’

- SIAMS report January 2020

Our curriculum is underpinned by our vision and accompanying values. Our vision of 'Learning to Love; Loving to Learn - Life in all its Fullness' captures what we are trying to achieve. We want to ensure that all children, irrespective of background have the opportunity to find their passion and fulfil their potential in an environment of high aspiration. Whilst we believe in academic rigour, we also want to ensure that we educate the whole child so they leave Ashleigh as well rounded, wise and community minded.

At Ashleigh, all teachers are responsible for providing an inclusive curriculum that is differentiated for those with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND). We have high expectations for all pupils and are committed to ensuring our curriculum complies with the Equality Act 2010 and the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014. Our inclusion statement emphasises the importance of providing an inclusive learning environment for all pupils including those with SEND. Additional information on this can be found in our SEND policy and Equality policy.

Below, you can find some detail about our curriculum; as always, please do get in touch if you want further information.
