January-Shakespeare
W/B 5th January 2026
Welcome back Shakespeare!
We’ve had a fantastic start to the new year in Shakespeare Class! The children have returned with enthusiasm and focus, ready to dive back into learning. This week, we’ve been finishing our Tudor topic and taking a closer look at the fascinating events surrounding the Spanish Armada.
It has been incredible to see the depth of discussion and the maturity the children have shown when exploring this important part of history. Their curiosity and thoughtful contributions have made our lessons engaging and enjoyable.
Our Year 6 children also received their hoodies this week! An exciting part of their year.
I’m so proud of how well everyone has settled back into school life, and I’m excited for all the learning and opportunities that the rest of this term will bring!

Shakespeare have had another fantastic week and we have started our new book 'The Last Bear'. It is a beautiful text that explores the friendship between a young girl and a polar bear. We are aiming to write our own 'next chapter' of the book, with a reunion scene between April and Bear set 5 years later.
