January Farook
W/C 6th January 2026We have started our Design and Technology unit on Storybooks. So far, we have explored different storybooks with moving parts and mechanisms.

Since then, we have experimented with creating different mechanisms. Here are our concertina springs and our pop out objects.

It has been such a busy week this week!
This week in Farook, we have continued to practice our skills in Design Technology by creating more moving parts and beginning to plan our storybook pages.

We have also started our new unit on Measure, where we have explored kilometres, metres and how we can use our multiplication knowledge to find fractions of a kilometre. Some of us worked with Mrs Francis and then passed on our new knowledge to others.

On Tuesday, it was our first Lego Club - thank you, Ms Jones, for hosting and sharing your Lego with us!

This Wednesday, Year 4 ventured to the Tarka Leisure Centre for the Tennis Festival. We had so much fun!

Bringing our PDW (Personal Development and Worldviews) work to an end on a Christian's view on the Trinity, we wrote and sent some questions to the leadership team at both Holy Trinity and Grosvenor Church.
Nick gave us a wonderful insight into his beliefs and experiences, and we really enjoy listening to his baptism story (wetsuit and all!). Using his ideas, we have created little booklets to share with others about the Christian worldviews.
