Response to Covid-19
We are committed to doing all that we can to minimise Covid transmission at Ashleigh. Our risk assessment is regularly reviewed and can be found below. If you have any questions about the measures we are taking, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Effective remote teaching and learning
Please find below details of Ashleigh's approach to remote learning during the pandemic. This includes how we will teach children at home during periods of self-isolation, where bubbles have to close and for periods where national restrictions prevent the majority of children attending school.
Catching up on learning
The government has announced funding of £80 per child to support children and young people in catching up lost time after the school closures of 2020. This will be paid in three tranches across the 2020-21 academic year.
Ashleigh is using resources from the Education Endowment Foundation, a Government funded body which provided evidence based support for schools, to plan the use of our funding. We are using their tiered model to focus resources on (1) high-quality teaching, (2) targeted academic support, and (3) wider strategies. You can see our current objectives below.
