Welcome to the summer term, and hopefully some sunny weather!!

This term our main topic focus is ‘Inventors and inventions’. We will be exploring the solar system and the planets and looking at the many inventions that allowed space travel to happen. We are busy creating our very own space ship which we hope to launch soon! If you have anything space related we would greatly appreciate it for our display.

Our science topic is all about investigating forces. We will be looking at pushing and pulling forces and how they are linked with space and well as creating and carrying out our own ‘Space’ themed experiments.

We have been sharing numerous stories with fantasy settings in our English learning. Very soon we hope to write our own fantasy setting stories about a magic pebble which I’m sure the children will be keen to share with you. Following our story writing the children will be looking at a variety of poetry and creating their own riddles to share with other classes.

We understand how busy life outside school can be, but if you could spare an invaluable 10 minutes each night sharing a book with your child it will help to support their learning in school. By filling in their reading record book your child could earn themselves some well deserved team points!!
